Principia Locke (Prin); Keys (tag); Namaeia Stern (alias) A dark-haired wood elf and Thieves’ Guild member. Everyone who knows her considers her a troublemaker, but somehow she avoids having the worst problems stick to her. 1-2
Samuel Sanders (Sam), Sheriff The sheriff of Last Rock. A generally calm and competent man with considerable respect for Arachne. 1-2
Tanq A very dark-skinned, dark-haired student of Unseen University, class of 1181. He is laid back and usually wears a bone-decorated vest. Hangs out with Chase and Natchua. 1-2
Janis Van Richter The house mother for the class of 1182 at Unseen University. A plump, matronly woman with a tendency towards extravagant hair and makeup. 1-2
Zaruda Carmelita Xingyu Sameera Meredith Punaji, Princess (Ruda) A stereotypical Punaji princess – tanned, rounded, extremely outgoing, colorful both in dress and language, and drinks like a fish. She is an Unseen University student, class of 1182. Has a mithril rapier she likes to use to get her point across. 1-3
Teal Falconer A brown-haired bard and Unseen University student, class of 1182 with a tendency to wear tailored male-style clothing and absolutely no tendency to be organized. She is an avowed pacifist that ended up with Vadrieny possessing her. 1-3
Shaeine nur Ashaele d’zin Awarrion A drow student of the Unseen University, class of 1182, originally from Tar’naris. She is a priestess of Themynra specializing in defense, but is in training as an ambassador and negotiator. Like most drow, she is very reserved. 1-3
Juniper The newest of Naiya’s daughters (dryads) and an Unseen University student, class of 1182. She is a voluptuous, green-skinned humanoid with green-gold hair and brown eyes. She has zero understanding of human society and an equal amount of sexual inhibition. 1-3
Fross An ice pixie and an Unseen University student, class of 1182. She is a tiny humanoid mostly hidden by the cold and light she puts out. She has zero understanding of human society and reacts to this by studying everything and trying to follow all the rules. 1-3
Naphthene Goddess of the Sea. Not affiliated with the Pantheon? She has no organized religion and doesn’t want one. Mentioned in 1-3
Themynra Goddess of judgment and the mind. A former member of the Pantheon who voluntarily left and convinced the drow nearer the surface to worship her. Mentioned in 1-4
Tobias Caine (Toby), Hand of Omnu The only current paladin of Omnu and a student at Unseen University, class of 1182. Gabriel’s best friend. He is dark-skinned and socially reserved. Like most Hands of Omnu, a natural and trained peacemaker. 1-4 (seen in 1-2)
Sharidan Julios Adolphus Tirasian, Emperor of Tiraas A generally careful and controlled man and a good emperor for that reason. Currently quite upset with Elilial and the Archpope, but for very different reasons. 1-5
Lillian Riaje Elilial’s human disguise, a former consort of Emperor Tirasian. Tall and lean, with bronze skin and a prominent nose. 1-5
Alaric Yornhaldt, Professor Professor of arcane magic at Unseen University. A studious, competent dwarf who tries to back Arachne up and keep her from even worse decisions. 1-5
Gabriel Arquin A half-hethelax, half-human student at Unseen University, class of 1182. Toby’s best friend. He is dark-haired, copper-skinned, usually unkempt in appearance, and favors long coats. Mostly well-meaning, but his mouth runs well ahead of his intelligence and common sense, and his hethelax side occasionally crops up as dangerous anger. 1-6 (seen in 1-2)
Natchua d’zun Dalmiss A drow student of the Unseen University, class of 1181, originally from Tar’naris. She has rebelled against the drow ideal and is now outspoken, sarcastic, confrontative, and non-traditionally dressed. 1-7
Chase Masterson A student of the Unseen University class of 1181 whose unofficial major is schadenfreude. No detectable sense of shame. 1-7
Emilio Ezzaniel, Professor The martial arts professor at Unseen University. A very no-nonsense personality and stylish dresser. 1-8
Oak The cook for the Unseen University, universally referred to as Mrs. Oak. She resembles a weathered tree stump. Mentioned in 1-8; seen in 1-19; no dialog so far
Crystal An arcane golem created by Arachne, originally made of gold-embossed stone. It is developing a surprising amount of sapience and is already capable of complex thought processes. During that process its appearance has changed somewhat. 1-9
Rook An Imperial Army private initially assigned to hellgate watch. Known for his irreverence and casual disregard of any rules, but careful not get court-martialed. Usually seen with Finchley and Moriarty. 1-9
Finchley An Imperial Army private initially assigned to hellgate watch. Known for being thoughtful and overly inquisitive. Usually seen with Rook and Moriarty. 1-9
Moriarty An Imperial Army private initially assigned to hellgate watch. Known for his overly strict adherence to army rules. Usually seen with Finchley and Rook. 1-9
Elilial, Queen of Demons The Goddess of Cunning, a former member of the Pantheon, now exiled and reviled for unnamed crimes. She ousted Scyllith and took over Hell and has vowed to take down the entire Pantheon. Despite this, she has a sense of humor and is devoted to people she is close to. 1-9; 1-5 as Lillian
Admestus Rafe, Professor Professor of botany and alchemy at the Unseen University. Fond of boasting about his manhood and generally viewed as bat-shit crazy and way too exuberant about it. 1-9
Silas Crete The scrolltower operator for Last Rock. A bit talkative. Uncle of Jonas. 1-10
Jonas Crete A former Imperial Army soldier. Nephew to Silas. 1-10

Antonio Darling, Bishop; Sweet (tag) Former head of the Thieves’ Guild (High Priest of Eserion) and current liaison to the Universal Church from the cult of Eserion. Darling is very much a people person and a model Eserite. Has an obsession with finding out more about Elilial. Physically, he is tall, lean, and blond. 1-12
Toman Panissar, General The leader of the Imperial Army. Well liked for his staunch defense of his men and his avoidance of excess and frippery. 1-12
Quentin Vex, Lord The head of Imperial Intelligence. As expected of such a position, he has a strong tendency towards ruthless practicality. 1-12
Vadrieny One of the seven daughters of Elilial. Currently possessing Teal due to a nasty magical accident. A student of Unseen University, class of 1182. 1-14
Sabrina Price; Savvy (tag) A Butler for Bishop Darling and a Thieves’ Guild member. Like most Butlers, she is incredibly dangerous in combat but prefers cutting remarks to action. 1-16
Flora; Lianwe? A young plains elf recently arrived to Tiraas, almost always seen with Fauna. Currently Darling’s apprentice. 1-16

Style (tag) Head of the Thieves’ Guild enforcers. Tough and brawny. She loves to try new styles of clothing, the more flamboyant the better. 1-17
Jeremiah Shook; Thumper (tag) A Thieves’ Guild enforcer. He is a font of barely controlled rage and misogyny, which causes trouble for his personal life and career. He appears to be a cheap thug but he is smarter than he looks, thinks on his feet, and has at least one powerful friend. 1-17
Tricks (tag) Current High Priest of Eserion and head of the Thieves’ Guild, successor to Sweet. He is very good at disguise and has strong organizational skills. 1-17
Scyllith Elder Goddess of Light, Beauty, and Cruelty. Worshiped by the deep drow. Mentioned in 1-19
Eserion A member of the Pantheon: God of Thieves and Subtlety. His physical appearance is “lean, swarthy, with shaggy black hair and perpetual mirth lurking about the eyes”. 1-20
Omnu A member of the Pantheon: God of Life, the Sun and Agriculture. His physical appearance is a burly man who is usually dressed as a farmer. Seen in 1-20
Eleanora Sultana Tirasian, Empress of Tiraas An intelligent and practical woman. She and Emperor Tirasian are friends but not lovers. Practically, she wields as much power as Sharidan, but in different ways. Holds a long-standing grudge with Elilial. She is striking in appearance: “waves of sable hair, deep mahogany skin, [and] black eyes that glinted like daggers”. 1-20

Milton Oxford A banker in the small town of Saddle Ridge. A Black Wreath member who had a hand in June Witwill’s death. 1-21
Verniselle A member of the Pantheon: Goddess of Money. She made five Vernis Vaults that can duplicate anything put in them – the only known extant one is in Arachne’s office. Mentioned in 1-21

Justinian, Archpope A handsome, distinguished, middle-aged man who is the current head of the Universal Church. He has power and influence rivaling that of the Emperor and Empress and he doesn’t seem content with the “rivaling” part. Has a knack for turning and engineering situations to his advantage. 2-7
Branwen Snowe, Bishop The liaison to the Universal Church from the cult of Izara. She is petite, curvy, red-haired, and careful about her appearance. 2-7
Basra Syrinx, Bishop The liaison to the Universal Church from the cult of Avei. Known to be quite ruthless. She has a lean look with a prominent nose and a coppery skin color. 2-7
